Akwesasne Cultural Center - Museum
Job Title: Museum Manager
30 hours a week
Salary Range $20-25/hr
Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operation of the Akwesasne Museum; provide cultural education tours and exhibit development; manage multiple grants – research and complete grant applications, reports and provide fiscal management; supervise and coordinate museum staff, including interns and temporary staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Museum Science or
- related field or Associates Degree with related experience
- Extensive knowledge of Akwesasne Mohawk culture, history and
- current affairs
- Experience in grant writing and budget management
- Experience providing guided tours
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
