FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, 40 Hours weekly

Salary: $12.73 per hour

The Project Assistant will conceive, organize, promote and implement effective programmatic initiatives to engage residents in community activities and maintain quality of life resources. Will collect and input data into tracking document. Will assist in the organization and implementation of programs and services provided by Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation.

Summary of Duties include but not limited to:

  • Plan and facilitate Sweetflag Activity Calendar including Congregate monthly meal, bingo, activities and Transportation Program to include decorating, cooking, set-up and clean-up of events.

  • Greet clients, answer multi-phone line system, logging and route all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries

  • Minute taking for MIHC and HHDFCI Board and staff meetings

  • Purchasing/ordering of office and Maintenance department supplies

  • Report writing, compiling statistical reports, correspondence and assisting other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years or more experience working in an office environment with knowledge of office equipment.

  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise

  • Financial background considered an asset

  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner, confidentiality a must.
