Program Description

Assists clients who are ready to work but require job search skills

Program Outline

  • Self-assessment

  • Presentation skills

  • Interview and resume assistance

  • Job search skills

  • Networking

Client Profile

  • College/University graduates who lack job search skills and are committed to finding a job

  • Career changes

  • Clients re-entering the job market

Financial Assistance may include:

3 weeks

Pre-Employment Assistance

Program Description

Assist individuals with multiple barriers who need extra support, motivation and/or skills to move forward to employment

Program Outline

  • Self-Awareness

  • Communication Development

  • Team Building/Leadership

  • Workplace Etiquette & Self-Motivation

  • Computers & the workplace

  • Career Planning

  • 7 Week Job Placement

Client Profile

  • High school graduates/GED

  • Referrals from individual counseling

  • Clients with self-esteem / motivation issues / multiple barriers

13 weeks

Community Workshops

Program Description

Assist individuals who are seeking employment/upgrading skills or Akwesasne businesses that need capacity building assistance.

Program Outline

Workshops are developed with the community's skill enhancement, certifications and personal development needs in mind.
