Summer Employment Experience Development (SEED)
Program Description
Provides secondary and post-secondary students with work experience during the summer break.
Eligible Participants
In addition to those previously mentioned in the Eligibility Requirements,

Participants must be between 16-29 years old

Full-time student in the preceding academic year
-
Intend to return full-time in the next academic year
Eligible Employers
To be eligible to apply as a sponsor of an ACESS project, an eligible organization or employer is defined as one that has been in existence and fully operational for at least 6 months as demonstrated by:

Registration with Revenue Canada

Banking and Operations (payroll, administration, production, sales,etc.)

Proof of Insurance Coverage (WSIB/CNESST Comprehensive General Liability) for participating for the duration of the funded activity at a level appropriate to the activities to be undertaken
Financial Assistance may include:

Wages of the participants up to the Ontario minimum wage level

Duration:
20-40 hours/week, Minimum: 6 weeks • Maximum: 18 weeks

College Prep & Life Skills
Program Description
Provides secondary students with 5-6 weeks of summer programming that includes academic, career, and hands-on classes and 30-40 hours of job shadowing.

In addition to those previously mentioned in the Eligibility Requirements,

Provides career-based workshops including basic certification and information on career/educational opportunities.
